How do you remove cologne/perfume odors from a carpet?

My 3 yr old son dumped 4 or 5 bottles of cologne out on the carpeted floor. The smell is so overpowering it's sickening. I've tried a lot of different products to mask the odor or to neutralize it. Nothing seems to work! Help! How do you remove cologne/perfume odors from a carpet?
Maybe shake baking soda on it and leave it overnight...or for a few days. If that doesn't work, vinegar is an odor neutralizer and only smells like pickles until it's completely dry. You could try that, but it'll take a few days to dry out the pad too.How do you remove cologne/perfume odors from a carpet?
They have odor neutralizing things like neutra air. They are located in the sections that sell air fresheners. Baking soda may be less expensive and work well. It absorbs odors. Pour the soda on the carpet and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then vacuum it up. After doing that you may still want to spray some neutra air. You may want to repeat the baking soda application.

KEEP AWAY FROM PETS! Before you vacuum be sure that all pets are away. Baking soda can kill them.
That much has probably sunken through the carpet into the carpet foam below... You'll probably have to steam clean it... Be sure to use some Arm %26amp; Hammer baking soda to help take out the smell...
first, deep clean the carpet with a power scrubber and then spray . . use a product like FeBreze afterward for any remaining scent . . the carpet scrubber should do the trick

If all else fails, you can always just replace the carpet as a last resort.
Find out if they were oil-based or alcohol based. If it's oil-based use dawn. If it's oil based use water and air the room out with an open window.
Rug steamer.
Try Vinegar (white) and water. I was going to say use lysol but you mentioned the smell was overpowering.
