I got a lot of perfume/cologne given to me as gifts, oh, way back around 5 or 6 years ago. Some i already used but i still have more bottles unopened. A friend suggested i put it in the fridge for longer life. Is this true? Do you know of any other ways and means to prolong their shelf life? These are designer scents and cost a lot, so i would really appreciate any advise you can give. Thanks in advance.Do perfumes/colognes have expiry dates? Whether opened or not? How long is their shelf life?
Weather they are open or not they only have shelf life of 6 months to a year. It also has to do with how they are stored. Don't put them in the medicine cabinet or in the bathroom because after you get out of the shower and the room is steamed up it kills the scent.Do perfumes/colognes have expiry dates? Shelf life isn't as long as people think..Maybe 3 yrs. Ever smelled an old lady?? They NEVER get rid of perfume. Find a garage sale...look for old perfume bottles..THAT is what you will smell like. It is strong, musty and just old. Sorry...I have some White Shoulders that I love but rarely wear...had to throw away almost a full bottle after 5 yrs. It STUNK.
