How often should you buy new cologne or perfume?

I'm not really sure I've had my cologne for about 2 months now but i might want a new one. my friend says wait till you run out, another says buy a new one when ever you want. Another says buy a new scent every 6 months. What do u think?How often should you buy new cologne or perfume?
Well you should buy a new scent whenever you want, but if you have had the same bottle for over a year you shoud get a new one as the scent decays, having the same scent ofr long periods of times helps people remember you, as you have a ';signature'; scentHow often should you buy new cologne or perfume?
As a girl I have tons of perfume and body spray. I have different ones for different moods. So I say if you can afford more than one scent I say there is no time limit, on how long you wear a certain kind.
I think you should buy another cologne when you run out but if another brand comes out and you like the sound of it go buy it.
Whenever you want! Just don't completely stop using the old ones. Have two or three or more ready to use and mix them up.
Whenever you feel like wearing a new scent if the old fragrance bores you, throw it out if you don't plan to use it anymore. However, the longer you keep the same fragrance the more people will identify you; it can trigger their memory of either a good or bad impression.
i suggest you buy a new one when the one you have is about to finish (if you use only one scent-one type of fragrance) otherwise, buy a new one whenever you want to.
Perhaps maybe you should keep several different kinds on hand that way you can change up every so often. I have 9 different perfumes sitting on my dresser right now.
well in till you run out but if you have it for like 2 years then i think its time to get a new one

If you can afford it then buy as many and as often as you want. What the hell, there are few enough pleasures in life, at least let's smell good. I did read somewhere once that the potency begins to fade after a year and that the perfume should be protected from light, if that helps.

Hello there. My suggestion is to wait till your other one runs out that way you'll have enough money to spend whenever or whatever....then again it's your choice why are you asking people here anyway? Some of them are rude and some of them are random [like me] Just do what you think it's right.

There are so many cologne's and perfume to choose from I buy a variety. If I'm feeling sexy I wear channel or any type of musk


Feeling sweet and flirty wear a fruity scent same with men there is so many options. If you go to the mall go to macy's or Jc Penny's they let you try on differant scents and sometimes give out testers.


Great way to find out which is best for you.


Also cologne's and perfume's smell differant on everyone because of differant oils in our skin. So wearing the perfume for one hour then smell your wrist to see if it smells good on you.

Personally I've had the same scent for about 8 years, it's kind of my trademark.
well, when i find something i like (even if i'm not done my bottles at home) i still buy it cause depending on ur mood u can wear anything and theres no rule to this so u cant do anything wrong!! (but DO NOT mix smells... EWWW!!!)
There is no rule for buying cologne. I have used the same perfume for years and I love it. I will try new perfumes here and there, but usually wear my favorite. If you want to try something new, go ahead, and maybe alternate the colognes, depending on your mood or what clothes you are wearing, etc.
OMG seriously....just buy it whenever you feel ike it gosh! I never new buying new cologne was a life or death situation.
Just have a couple of your favorite colognes and alternate them depending on what you feel like wearing that day. It's also good to have your own ';trademark'; scent so whenever someone smells it they will automatically think of you. Or when your significant other smells it somewhere else they will miss you more.
