I'm NOT talking about cologne or perfume made for people. Have you ever used cologne specifically made for dogs? What is the good and bad about using cologne for dogs?Has or does anyone ever used dog perfume/cologne?
Hi There,
OK this is going to make you giggle but my hubby has the most adorable little 2 pound Creame male Pomeranian and it is a riot as they are joined @ the hip when hubby Takes a shower Meushea is in there with him and then they get out and Meushea gets blow dried then Hubby puts on his Deodorant and Cologne and Then Meushea has his own shelf with his Cologne on it and Daddy then Sprays his Doggy Deodorant on him and then his Cologne on him and it is so funny as it is a daily ritual I know it is not good for him to shower daily but you cannot keep him out of there
He feels as if he is being punished if you lock him out so what can we do Yeah he is a bit on the spoiled side but hey he deserves it He just turned a year old in June and so we have many more years to deal with this But to answer your question Yes Hubby does use it on his little Buddy and he also has the deodorant so he is a sweet smelling little man
He orders it threw Dr's Foster and Smith Catalog
Take CareHas or does anyone ever used dog perfume/cologne?
I have never used doggie cologne on my pups. We purchased a pup a few years ago, and after they got done bathing and drying her they put on light spray of doggie cologne. The problem is the smell made ME sick. I had to have my daughter give the pup a bath as I could not be around the pup with out throwing up. After we bathed her I was ok. So I figured it it made me sick what was it going to do for he pup?
I just don't mess with colognes. Everyone is different, I just had a bad reaction to the odor of the cologne, so I don't use them on my dogs.
I use a dog cologne from petedge, when the dogs get a little stinky during the winter months and I can not properly groom them. It is inexpensive, costing only $15 for a gallon, it smells really good. The only problem with it is if you do not brush it through the dog's coat really good, it can make the dogs feel a bit sticky.
Yes I have. I get it at walmart. If your dog gets a little stinky between baths, a smlall squirt covers it up. Nothing bad about it that I know of. zHave never had any problems with it. It smells great. A small bottle lasts a long time. I think it costs about $5.
Just give him a bath and after u could put on some smell good stuff. Thats what i do and it works fine.
Nope I haven't used anything like that on my dogs.
No never used dog perfume before infact i've never heard of it, but a friend of mine sometimes uses the dogs lipstick hehe xxx
I have used colognes when the odor is offensive, i don't recommend bathing too often because it tends to dry out the skin and can make it itchy and flaky.
The best is to keep them brushed well and you can also take a damp rag and run it along their fur. It will help get the top coat of dirt, grime and odor off. It's a temporary fix, but it works. There is also pre-moistened towelettes you could use. Those a re a little more convenient. Make sure you wash the paws. Paws can have an odor emitting from them.
As long a the cologne is made for dogs, there shouldn't be anything negative to be concerned about, just stay away from the face and eyes.
Yes, I have two Samoyeds and after I bathe and blow dry them I spritz them with dog cologne.
The male gets an Armani imposter and the female gets a Happy imposter.
if there is a foul odor present you might want to think about anal glands and changing to a better quality food. I dont think cologne is the anser.
