I usually wear subtle fresh scents that are barely noticeable and I'm not too fond of strong perfumes. I understand that we all like different scents, and just because I don't like strong scents doesn't mean that people shouldn't wear them. I just bare with them. But I just can't understand why some people like strong perfumes and or colognes. The only thing I hate more than someone dousing themselves with perfume are the people who arrogantly presume they can order others around.
The worst examples are the bus drivers who kick those who wear perfume off their buses. I've actually seen this happen twice now. These bus drivers are getting paid to service the public. If they can't handle the public they should spend the money to go back to school and get a job where they have more control over their environment.

When I was 14 my auntie bought me Coty l'Aimont for Christmas, Soap, talc, perfume, the works, lovely, or so I thought at the time!!
To me, at 14 I thought it was wonderful and felt like the bees knees when I was smothered in it. I think everyone else was greatly relieved when I had used it all up!!
Now, I find that most expensive so called designer perfumes stink awful on my ultra dry skin. The only one that truly woks for me is Miss Dior by Christian Dior, Very sophisticated and make me feel like a million dollars.
Sadly I can't afford it now at about 拢50 a bottle. So I go into Debenham's now and again and 'pinch' a bit of theirs from the sample bottle. : -- DWhat was the best/worst perfume/cologne you got as a christmas present?
When I was young I got a bottle of ';Violet'; perfume from a friend - it smelled just like Parma Violet sweets (those of you who are of a slightly more mature age will remember them) - I hated Parma Violets %26amp; the sickly, sweet smell of the perfume.
LOL, an extremely thick ex boyfriend of mine thought it'd be nice to buy me only perfume (and only perfume) for christmas one year. Nice idea I know, but not five bottles of the freakin stuff.

A manager in my company was allergic to cologne and told an employee that used a lot of cologne to please stop. This may be a good way to get the point across!!!Why do people wear too much cologne / perfume?
I have been a restaurant manager for many years and it's disturbing how often I run into this problem. The offender needs to be told, but with tact. Pull them aside and tell him/her that there is such a thing as too much. Then let them know how much is a correct amount of cologne to wear. Wherever they put the cologne, they should limit themselves to three sprays or dabs.Why do people wear too much cologne / perfume?
Some people just naturally apply too much (yuck!) Still others develop an insensitivity to the scent that they've used for so long. Sometimes they can no longer tell how much they've applied. As for me....when it doubt, don't wear cologne/perfume!

Heavy perfume use is as offensive to a lot of people as smoking it also posses a real risk to asthmatics and others with breathing problems or even mild allergies. These people are being entirely inconsiderate to others so why not tell them they stink?
They should be reported to management to deal with.

The problem is, because they can no longer smell it...they don't think anyone else can either so they overspray...which leads to overkill. OK this is going to make you giggle but my hubby has the most adorable little 2 pound Creame male Pomeranian and it is a riot as they are joined @ the hip when hubby Takes a shower Meushea is in there with him and then they get out and Meushea gets blow dried then Hubby puts on his Deodorant and Cologne and Then Meushea has his own shelf with his Cologne on it and Daddy then Sprays his Doggy Deodorant on him and then his Cologne on him and it is so funny as it is a daily ritual I know it is not good for him to shower daily but you cannot keep him out of there

I have never used doggie cologne on my pups. We purchased a pup a few years ago, and after they got done bathing and drying her they put on light spray of doggie cologne. So I figured it it made me sick what was it going to do for he pup?

So now I don't wear it as much in a pony tail and she doesn't marinate her self in lotion, perfume, etc...so maybe make a deal with him...every one has a price! :D

';Walk in the Rain'; and ';Dance in the Moonlight'; by Bare Esscentuels is great. ';True Love'; is really nice by Elizabeth Arden. '; Tressor'; is excellent as is ';Red Door'; by Elizabeth Arden. Beautiful is a great one. Most of these you can find in your high end stores. Tova and Philosophy is from QVC, or their own web sites.

';Tova Signature'; is wonderful. It is by Tova Borgnine. You can get it from QVC. ';Falling In Love'; by Philosophy is wonderful as well as ';Amazing Grace'; by Philosophy. Valentino is wonderful. ';Walk in the Rain'; and ';Dance in the Moonlight'; by Bare Esscentuels is great. ';True Love'; is really nice by Elizabeth Arden. '; Tressor'; is excellent as is ';Red Door'; by Elizabeth Arden. Beautiful is a great one. Most of these you can find in your high end stores. Tova and Philosophy is from QVC, or their own web sites.

For a couple of hours you could tell what he was drinking when he talked to you up close. In time he had to buy the more expensive cologne because he drank-up all the cheap stuff. Naturally the better quality cologne stayed on his breath longer.
The Navy does not allow troops to bring booze on board and he was in bad shape for a drink (we were on a 6 months cruise with long periods between stops).

If no sprayer, then dab with little finger after blotting on tissue before applying.

My favorite scent depends on the season and my mood. During the Summer (when I'm usually happy because the sun is out) I like really light scents that are fruity or slightly floral. The Fall brings out the spicy scents (I have a few but I can't remember what they're called), and I usually wear perfume oils (they last longer) Winter calls for vanilla scents and some slightly summery scents (I start needing sun in the winter so I remind myself that summer is coming to keep me happy). I really like The Body Shop's Vanilla Spice during both Fall and Winter.
